Hei Ole Christian, well said. I can only speak from the academic side, and can say that I feel we are gaining some sort of impetus with a better defined academic community (more lecturers within precisely communication and PR), and BI is happy to continue/restart a tradition of networking. Hosting the European PR Education and Research Association conference in October next year is one step. Spending money on things like the Høstseminaret and even Gullkorn are not possible for faculty members except under special circumstances. We would love to be there but the costs must come out of our own pockets. I support any initiative that brings together practitioners from all sectors with the academic world — as you say there’s no reason this should not be possible in a country the size of Norway. This is an important discussion and it is good that you are raising these points. Plus it’s nice to be missed.
